2011 Commissioner's Update



These sessions covered an expanded program of technical information based on feedback from previous seminars. They also covered general and specific information regarding Legislative changes in the last 12 months, any relevant information from the 2011 – 2012 State Budget, and information on Audit results and targets for the coming year.

The tax technical areas covered in each seminar include:
  • Deeds of Family Arrangement
  • Apparent Purchaser
  • Sub Sales
  • State Tax implications of Land Valuation changes – Duties and Land Tax

Seminars were held June 21-23, 2011 in Launceston, Devonport, Burnie and Hobart

2010 Commissioner's Update



The Commissioners Update were held in the last week of May 2010. Topics included:
  • Legislative changes in the last year, including the Land Tax Rebate;
  • The SRO Compliance Strategy;
  • Audit results for 2009-10 and planned Audit Program for 2010-11; and
  • Getting through an SRO audit and beyond.
