Intermediaries in Tasmanian Revenue Online

Options

Please Note: Intermediary accounts are only relevant to Payroll Tax.

A Tasmanian Revenue Online (TRO) intermediary account is a single login that allows the user access to TRO functions for their clients as well as their own TRO account.

You can use AUSkey for logging into TRO Intermediary accounts. You can register for AUSkey or, if you already use AUSkey to access Government online services, link AUSkey to your TRO account.

Setting up Intermediary relationships in TRO

1. Register as an Intermediary

To register as an Intermediary contact the State Revenue Office on (03) 6233 8070 or by e-mail and provide your business name, ABN, address and details of a contact person. The State Revenue Office will contact you to advise that your Intermediary account has been setup.

2. Each of your clients must identify you as their intermediary in TRO

The administrator of your clients’ TRO account should:

a. Log into TRO;
b. Select ‘Manage Intermediary’ from the left hand menu;
c. Enter the Intermediarys’ ABN (your ABN not the clients);
d. Verify that the correct Intermediary name is selected;
e. Submit the Intermediary request.

3. Accept the Intermediary requests from your clients

The administrator of your TRO account should:

a. Log into TRO;
b. Select ‘Manage Intermediary Acceptances’ from the left hand menu;
c. ‘accept’ the requests from businesses you are becoming the intermediary for;
d. use ‘Manage Intermediary Users’ to set the level of access each person within the Intermediary has for each client account.
