The rate of Payroll Tax for the 2012/13 Financial year is 6.1%. The threshold amount is $1.01 million per annum.

2013/2014 Financial Year

The 2013-14 Tasmanian State Budget announced an increase in the Payroll Tax per annum threshold from $1.01 million to $1.25 million. This change is subject to the passage of legislation. For more information please read the fact sheet
