In May 2008 the State Revenue Office released its first Taxpayer Charter. The Charter was developed for taxpayers and their representatives to provide information that will assist them to comply with their taxation responsibilities.

The charter outlines the service standards a taxpayer can expect to receive from the State Revenue Office. The aim of the charter is to communicate our commitment to being transparent and accountable, and in line with this we will deliver regular report cards against its standards.

As this is our first Taxpayer Charter, we would welcome any input you may have. Current at May 2008, we plan to review this Charter in twelve months and then every three years thereafter.
