Winter bill buster discount

​​The Tasmanian Government has announced a Winter Bill Buster discount of  $119 for eligible concession customers. 

The supplement is a once-off discount of $119 per household and will be applied as a discount to your next bill after 30 June 2022, or soon after.

Eligibility

You are eligible for the discount, if you qualify for the annual electricity concession on 30 June 2022.

If you become eligible after 30 June 2022, you may still get the discount as long as you are eligible during the period 1 July 2022 to 31 August 2022 and you notify your authorised electricity retailer​. ​

 

How to apply

If you already receive the annual electricity concession:

  • you do not need to do anything. 
  • the Winter Bill Buster discount will be automatically applied as a discount to your next bill, or soon after.
