Taxpayers that have incurred and paid duty on the transfer of a motor vehicle as part of a deceased estate between 1 July 2016 and 7 May 2017 inclusive. ​​​

If the deceased person has not left a valid will, an ex gratia payment will not be available.

​How to apply

The deceased person's executor must:

• complete the Motor vehicle transfer to beneficiary of deceased estate ex gratia payment statutory declaration; and​
  
• attach a certified copy of the last known will and testament of the deceased person; and
  
• attach evidence that the duty has been paid.
